Probably most popular these days is Richard Lattimore's 1965 verse translation, but I much prefer Robert Fitzgerald's 1963 (not to be confused with Robert Fagles' 1996) translation. The BEST thing about being a kid is believing in things we can't see, and we should never lose that! :-) PS: I do not share your love of cleaning, but you SO hit the mark with #1....who doesn't love talking about themselves?
