Making order out of chaos

We’re not gonna take it anymore…

I was browsing on Etsy.com for shops in Vancouver, when I came across Bittersweeets’s shop. She makes the cutest and angriest little felt vegetables and sweets ever.

I showed the link to a friend and he immediately came back with “Salad is Genocide!” – and thus was this week’s Sticky Note Friday born.

Thank you for the inspiration Shaun and Bittersweeets!

Made me think, happily, of The Flaming Carrot. Also of, unfortunately, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes (no link because (1) a second link seems to throw comments into moderation purgatory, and (2) I’m not that cruel).

I’m now considering all the implications of salad prep: washing (ethnic cleansing?), cutting, dicing, peeling, coring, and, oh my goodness, the spinner.

I love Sticky Note Friday! Is this patented by you or can I steal it? LOVE THE PICTURE!!

@ Pannonica – the salad spinner is especially abhorrent to vegetables – like being in the Gravitron ride at a fair and then being eaten while still dizzy… And I put Attack of the Killer Tomatoes on the rent list (because it’s hilarious – thanks for the reminder!)

@Maleesha – I hadn’t thought of patenting Sticky Note Friday – maybe I ought to! I just figured it would be fun to put my bizarre little creations out there and see what sort of reaction they got. You’re certainly welcome to a copy of the sticky note (I can send you a full-size copy by email if you like – I cut them down for posting on the blog). I’m really glad you like the sticky notes – makes me happy to hear they’re giving someone a giggle! :D
