Making order out of chaos

Paper beats rock

In this scenario my brain is the rock and the paper is the blank WYSIWYG editor in WordPress.

I suppose I could write about the lovely snow outside and the not so lovely way it got into my shoes when I took the compost out. Or I could write about the dish water I spilled all over the kitchen floor this morning. Or how about the telemarketer a few minutes ago who asked me “Don’t you want to save money?” as though I were lighting cigarettes with hundred dollar bills over here.

Blah.

What about scissors? They cut paper, aren’t they? For me, scissors represent the yearning to write.

@bFlat – thanks! I’m feeling better today. A few days of only 5 hours a sleep a night makes me cranky and brain dead.

@ leafless – the scissors weren’t even a consideration yesterday – they were just a sharp implement to poke myself with. ;-)

Sounds like the gym membership saleswoman who asked, “Don’t you want to be healthy?” when I told her that I would need to think before shelling out a gazillion dollars to join a very pricy gym. No, I want to die of a heart attack next week.
